Purity Culture permeated christian culture in the late 90’s/early 00’s. Pastors and celebrities, including the massively influential JONAS BROTHERS, peddling TRUE LOVE WAITS rings, reinforcing The Brainwashing of the church - distancing the self from anything sexual, confused about what love even is in a Patriarchal Authoritarian System at such a young age. The result is multiple generations of disillusioned ex church goers, all trying to discover who they even are in the aftershock of PURITY CULTURE.
